Portage Indiana Doctors

Our new location is located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, just blocks from Indiana State University Medical Center. Our highly qualified ENT specialists treat patients in one place and help patients with a wide range of diseases in the field of otolaryngology. Because we need to treat many diseases at one location, our team will operate from two locations: one in Indianapolis and one in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The maintenance certification program encourages the boards - certified physicians - to continue learning and evaluating themselves throughout their medical careers. In a country that follows the tradition of the United States, we are the first professional college degree to be awarded after graduation from medical school. Finally, our Neuro - NICU program offers leading - innovative, evidence-based - longitudinal care for patients with neurodegenerative diseases. This includes the services we provide at IU Health's Neuroscience Center, as well as our research and clinical services at Indiana State University Medical Center.

Since 1894, he has witnessed the development of a hospital for treating accident victims in the area, as well as the construction of Indiana State University Medical Center.

The hospital was bought by the county in 1920, expanded to 48 beds and has grown since then. UH, Portage Medical Center has been recognized as a magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and recognized by the Employers Resource Council as one of the best jobs in Northeast Ohio. Since its foundation in 1894, the hospital has grown steadily as a medical centre for accident victims and the elderly. Since then it has grown into a full-time hospital with more than 1,000 beds and a patient population of more than a million.

The team of pediatric neurology and neurosurgery was ranked among the top 25 by US News & World Report. This level of clinical excellence has made it one of the top programs for neurology / neurosurgery in our nation. Riley at IU Health is bedridden by one of the nation's leading pediatric neurologists and the second largest number of pediatric neurosurgeons in Indiana.

The team is dedicated to treating all neurological needs of a patient and, if necessary, develops the latest techniques, including advanced surgical procedures. Patients who snore or suffer from sleep apnea are treated in a specialized program that includes headaches and other chronic needs. The members of the program are also closely involved in programs for muscular dystrophy and neurocutaneous diseases and members of a national consortium for mitochondrial medicine.

The multidisciplinary approach has been proven effective in patients with a variety of neurological diseases such as Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, epilepsy and multiple sclerosis. Other forms of treatment may include neurosurgery, neurology, neuropsychopharmacology, cognitive behavioral therapy and neuroscience.

Paediatric neurology trains doctors and their teams in a full range of primary spinal diseases, including trauma, degenerative deformations, tumors and reconstructive diseases. Neurologists specialize in certain diseases and disorders, and pediatric neurologists train doctors in their team. Orthopedic spine surgeons are recognized by several state medical commissions for scholarships and partial programs in orthopedics and surgery.

If a child does not respond to epilepsy medicine, we work with the neurosurgery team to see if an epilepsy surgery would be an appropriate next step. We are working on performing surgery to stimulate the vaginal nerve (VNS) to improve seizure control. The EEG, which continuously monitors the diagnosis and monitoring of epilepsy attacks for 24 hours, provides nerve function tests.
