A large mansion in northwest Indiana that was visited by a parade of celebrity guests before being transformed into a fine dining restaurant will hit the wrecking ball after the University of Valparaiso secured a $1 million grant from Lilly Endowment, Inc. to hold its first ever art exhibition. The new facility will create more than 40 new jobs and will be built on the former site of the old St. John's Episcopal Church in Portage, Indiana.

The Times of Northwest Indiana (NWI Times) has been the official newspaper of Lake and Porter County and LaPorte County, Indiana, since 1906. The Chronicle is a weekly community newspaper in Northwest Indiana covering local news, business, sports, entertainment, arts and entertainment news.
